Key Features
- True MPPT Technology: Continuously tracks and locks onto the solar panel's maximum power point, preventing slow charging caused by battery voltage dragging down panel output.
- Wide Input Voltage Range: Accepts DC 8–28V input, compatible with 1W–100W solar panels operating at 9V–28V — including lead-acid, lithium, lithium iron phosphate, and nickel-based battery types.
- Fully Adjustable Output: Output voltage is infinitely adjustable from DC 5–26V with up to 5A output current, supporting single and multi-cell battery configurations.
- Ultra-Low Power Consumption: Advanced low-dropout design minimizes voltage loss and boosts conversion efficiency (Max: 93% | Peak: 95%).
- Intelligent 3-Stage Charging: Fully automatic trickle → constant-current → constant-voltage charging cycle with auto-stop on full charge and sleep mode at night.
- Dual LED Charging Indicators: Red LED = rapid charging; alternating red/blue = fully charged; auto-stops to prevent overcharging.
- Comprehensive Protection: Input/output reverse polarity protection, night-time backflow prevention, and soft-start function safeguard both the module and your batteries.
- Industrial-Grade Durability: Rated for –40°C to +85°C operating temperatures for reliable performance in extreme environments.
- Compact Form Factor: Measures just 5.8 × 3.7 × 2.2 cm — easy to integrate into any solar project.

Quick Setup Guide
- Step 1: Connect the solar panel (no battery yet). If output voltage is present, proceed. If not, turn the MPPT knob anticlockwise until output voltage appears.
- Step 2: Turn the output voltage knob anticlockwise until both indicator lights flash. Coarsely adjust output voltage to the intended full-charge cut-off voltage.
- Step 3: Connect the discharged battery and use an inline ammeter to monitor charging current. Fine-tune the MPPT potentiometer until current peaks.
- Step 4: Test with a fully charged battery. If blue light is on, increase output voltage clockwise until red activates, then slowly reduce until blue just illuminates. Confirm cut-off voltage with a multimeter.
⚠️ Important: Pre-adjust output voltage before the first charge and monitor battery voltage closely to prevent overcharging. Do not charge unprotected lithium batteries.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What types of solar panels is this MPPT solar charge controller compatible with?
A: This MPPT solar charge controller is compatible with 1W–100W solar panels with an output voltage of DC 9V–28V. It supports 9V, 12V, 18V, and 24V solar panel systems commonly used in off-grid and portable solar setups.
Q: What battery types can this MPPT charge controller charge?
A: The controller supports a wide range of battery chemistries, including 6V/12V lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries (8.4V, 12.6V, 16.8V), lithium iron phosphate/LiFePO4 batteries (7.2V, 10.8V, 14.4V), 2–4 series lithium packs, and nickel-cadmium or nickel-metal hydride batteries. The output voltage is fully adjustable (DC 5–26V) to match your specific battery's requirements.
Q: What does MPPT mean and why does it matter for solar charging?
A: MPPT stands for Maximum Power Point Tracking. It is a technology that continuously monitors and adjusts the electrical operating point of your solar panel to ensure it always delivers its maximum available power output, regardless of changing sunlight conditions. Compared to basic PWM controllers, MPPT controllers like this one can significantly improve overall charging efficiency — up to 95% peak — especially under variable or low-light conditions.
Q: Does the module work automatically without manual intervention?
A: Yes. Once set up and calibrated, this module operates fully automatically. It activates in the morning with as little as 3mA no-load current (even under weak sunlight), charges through its intelligent 3-stage cycle, stops automatically when the battery is full, and enters sleep mode at night to prevent battery backflow. No manual switching is needed during normal operation.
Q: Can multiple modules be used together for higher charging current?
A: Yes. Multiple modules can be wired in parallel to increase the total charging current beyond 5A. It is recommended to use one module per solar panel for optimal MPPT tracking performance on each individual panel.
