How to Use
- Turn your vehicle's ignition off.
- Locate the 16-pin Data Link Connector (DLC) — usually found beneath the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Plug the scanner directly into the DLC. The connector is keyed and will only fit one way.
- Turn the ignition to the ON position (do not start the engine).
- The LCD will display a prompt — press New Scan to begin.
- The tool will detect the vehicle protocol and display any stored fault codes and live data.
⚠️ Important Notes:
- Unplug the scanner after each use. Leaving it connected for extended periods may draw power from the vehicle battery.
- Always start the vehicle before inserting the scanner to protect the internal chip from voltage spikes during engine startup.
- If the scanner fails to connect, verify the ignition is ON, ensure a secure connection to the DLC, and confirm your vehicle is OBD-II compliant.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this OBD2 scanner compatible with my vehicle?
A: This scanner is compatible with all OBD-II compliant vehicles, which includes virtually all cars and light trucks sold in the United States after 1996, as well as most European and Asian vehicles. Simply check that your car has a standard 16-pin OBD-II port (usually located under the dashboard on the driver's side) and you're good to go.
Q: Does the OBD2 scanner require batteries or a separate power source?

Q: Can I use this scanner to turn off the Check Engine Light?
A: Yes! Once you've read and reviewed the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), you can use the scanner to clear the codes and reset the Check Engine Light (MIL) directly from the device. It also resets system monitors and displays I/M readiness status for emissions testing.
Q: What languages does the OBD2 scanner support?
A: The scanner supports 10 languages: English, German, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese. You can switch the language from the on-screen menu.
