Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long will this weed control landscape fabric last outdoors?
A: Thanks to its built-in UV stabilisers and durable 90gsm PP construction, this weed mat is designed for an outdoor service life of approximately 5 years under normal conditions. Its acid and alkali resistance further extends durability across different soil environments.
Q: Does this landscape fabric allow water and air to reach the soil?
A: Yes. The woven polypropylene structure is permeable, meaning rainwater, irrigation, and air can pass through freely to the soil beneath. This keeps your plants properly hydrated and your soil aerated without removing the ground cover.
Q: Can I get this fabric in a different width, length, or colour?
A: Absolutely. This fabric is available in widths from 0.5m up to 4.0m, in roll lengths of 100m or 200m (depending on width), and in Black, White, or Green. Custom weights from 70gsm to 180gsm are also available. Please contact us directly for custom or wholesale orders.
Q: Is this weed mat safe to use around vegetables and edible fruit crops?
A: Yes. The fabric is made from food-grade-quality PP material with no chemical odour, making it suitable for use in vegetable gardens, strawberry farms, orchard rows, and other edible crop growing areas.
